Whilst working as an architectural student at Stedman Blower, Sean sketched existing local heritage buildings for articles written by Michael Blower for publication in the Farnham Herald.

He also undertook private commissions and drew A3 pen and ink drawings of private homes during his summer holidays, often seen sketching in a shady spot under a tree in the surrounding villages, in between a quick lunchtime pint at the local pub.
